Hours exceeded client max, client changed max

Hello, I recently put in hours over what was authorized by the client. The client then changed the max authorized hours, but the hours I put in are still only accepting the original max limit (so most of them seem to not be counted looking at the payout). Is there something I or the client have to do to get the rest of the hours authorized?
