How Do I Give my Client a Refund with a $0 Balance

I am urgently trying to give a client back a partial refund but my upwork balance is $0 since the funds have already beeen transferred to my personal bank account.  There does not seem to be a function for me to add funds and the process has been very frustrating.  I am not sure why upwork doesn't make this easier for their freelancers, but someone please advise.
