I'm new to Upwork. How can we tell which jobs have already hired someone? All we can see is how many proposals and how many interviewing, invites were sent, etc. Why waste tokens on a proposal that may have already hired someone. Especially if the job was posted many days/weeks ago? What is the protocol for removing jobs so people aren't applying and using token unnecessarily?

When you click on the job, at the bottom of the page it tells you how many people have applied, how many are being interviewed (i.e. how many proposals were replied to) and how many people are hired. It also tells you when the client last looked at the job post, so you'll have an idea whether they're still checking up on it or have lost interest. At the top of the page is the date the job was posted.
