How about - Number of characters left for the cover letter portion of a proposal

I find it a bit frustrating when completing my cover letter portion of a proposal and the dreaded "Must be less than 5000 chars". How about it telling me, "You are 434 characters too long" instead? I have to cut and guess to get it down to the correct number.

Just a thought.

That is a new one. I've never even come close to the 5000 characters. But I agree that how many over is better than just over.
