How can I get job from Upwork?

Hi.

I've created my account few months ago.

but I did not get job. I guess I saw very good jobs which I can.

I sent proposal everytime but did not get job at all.

I guess there are tons of competitors. in general 50+ on jobs.

there is no way to get job as new freelancer?

I've tried to upgrade my profile several time but there is no effect.

So I've decided to avoid competitors and tried to bid at night but no effect.

Any advice?

Thank you.

I had the same issue at first, but I would advise experimenting with different strategies, to see what works for you and your target market. Try experimenting with different filters and searches to find jobs. For my category, I find that "Business Strategy, Experienced" or "Business Plan" has a lot less competition than content writing opportunities.

Also - applying for jobs on the weekend has been helpful for me as well.

Finally, applying for newer jobs, right when they are posted, has been good.

Doing some trial and error at first can really help you in the long run. Then, you can get a system that works for you, and build from there.

Keep going!

1) Make your profile public so the community can make recommendations

2) Don't apply to jobs with submissions >20

3) Customize your proposals to align with the client's needs. Demonstrate why they should pick you.

4) Your profile should stand out among competitors in your field

5) Read all of the resources available to new freelancers from the "New to Upwork" forum

6) Don't give up

Take a look at Top Rated freelancers with similar skills. Review how they market themselves. Be careful not to copy.

Good luck
