How do I bill for additional work on a completed job? A client wants new work and contacted me from a completed job. How do I send an invoice? thanks.

You can create a new contract from the message room or contract, or ask for them to add a bonus to the closed contract.

This is the correct option.
or ask for them to add a bonus to the closed contract.
This is a bad idea. Bonuses are not protected by payment protection, so the freelancer would have zero recourse if the client decided to not pay.
Additional work on a closed contract = new contract. Every time. No exceptions.

If you absolutely have to be protected against everypossible thing that can concerivably go wrong, yes, I guess so.
Personally I have no problem with being paid by bonus, or logging manual time or to do any of the other "risky" things.
So far I have never once not been paid for anything, ever.

I've done this a couple of times. One small advantage over having the client create the new contract is that I get to choose the contract's name, which will appear in my job history.
But I'd like know how this works from the client's point of view. What does the client have to do to turn my proposed contract into a job offer (assuming that no further discussion is needed)? Is it just a matter of clicking a button in an email that the client receives?
