How do I end a scam contract without affecting my JSS

Hi, I responded to a job invite and the conversation went pretty well which led to an offer being made.

After accepting the contract, I realized it was a scam when the insisted I joined a video chat with the CEO by clicking a link.

I made some google searches and saw they have scammed other freelancers and hacked their laptops. My dilemma now is how to end the contract without affecting my JSS or they leaving a negative review.

I would really appreciate help on this ASAP, thanks.

Your JSS will be dropped with bad feedback. Banned scammer unable to leave feedback. Report and wait until banned. Feel free to close contract after that.

You can use the ‘Flag as Inappropriate’ option throughout the site to report any suspicious activity at any time. Please know that jobs associated with clients who violate Upwork's policies may be excluded to protect freelancers from unfair impact on their JSS.
