How do you withdraw money from Skrill?

Community Guru
Does anybody know how to transfer money from oDesk to Skrill and then withdraw from Skrill? I don't have a Skrill card since it's not available for China yet. Thanks in advance!

hi Skrill supports multiple ways to withdraw money, if you add a credit card or bank account to Skrill once they are verified you can transfer money to those account very easily. Jacques
Thanks Jacques! I opened an account at Skrill and added my bank account last December. It is still not verified. Does that mean I can't transfer money? How can I get it verified?
Jiang, from my experience, Skrill can be very slow with all verifications. They verified my location, based on utility bill i sent them, only after i called their support center and informed of holdup. Also, can't say for bank accounts, but withdrawal from Skrill to my Visa card never worked. Transaction always got stuck somewhere half-way and later i had to call support again to get my funds returned.
Hi I had the same issue but did find their support very useful when i called them. Verification is a complex process, one of those things to push through at the start and sort out. Give their support a call. Withdrawl to my Visa card worked perfectly for me. ps. Skrill card is not available in my country but Payoneer card is so i tend to use them.
Thanks Jacques:) Don't think Payoneer is available here either. Problem. Maybe I should try something else.
Thanks Alexander! I couldn't find a phone number, so I sent them an email. I was told I should be able to get feedback within 24 hours. Based on your experience, I don't expect that to happen though:D We'll see:)
Skrill support phone number is +44 203 514 5562, their working hours are 9.00-18.00 UTC. And yes, they are very unhasty when it comes to answering emails. And, as Jacques noted, you can try requesting Payoneer card. At first glance, it looks like they work on China territory, but i can't say for sure. Maybe they mean Hon-Kong only.
Thank you, Alexander! Guess they don't work on weekend. Will try on Monday if I don't get their feedback till then. I'll check again about Payoneer. If it is easier than Skrill, I'll apply for it. And about Hong Kong, they say it is part of China, but we need a special passport to go there and can stay for only 7 days each time.(I'm allowed to stay longer in USA and Europe. Isn't that weird?:D) Many things that work in Hong Kong don't work here.

Thanks Nissim! Could you please advice how I can get one, e.g. Register online or do I have to go to your office? Where is your office in Beijing? How much is the fee to keep the card and withdraw money from it? Do I need to add a local bank card as what I did with Skrill? How long will it take to get the card? How long will it take to transfer money from oDesk to the Payoneer card? Thanks!

Hi Jiang, Thanks for posting, I'd be happy to help. To sign up for the card: 1) Go to your oDesk user profile: 2) On the left side menu, click on "Get Paid" 3) Click on the button that says "Set up Payments" 4) Choose the Payoneer option and click on "Set Up" You will then be directed to an online application where you can apply for your card. There is no charge to apply, and all account fees are listed during the sign up process (you can also see them after you sign up via your Payoneer online account) There is no bank account or local credit/debit card required, and the card takes 15-25 business days to arrive (via standard shipping, which is free of charge). Once oDesk sends you a payment it is available within minutes, and you can use the card to make purchases online, in stores, and at ATMs worldwide. For China we can also provide an option to withdraw funds to your local bank account. If you let me know once you submit your application, I will make sure it is reviewed and approved as soon as possible:

Hi everyone,

I have problem when withdrawing my fund from Skrill. I requested withdrawal my fund 2 times from Skrill to my bank account but both was returned.

The email I got from them that my bank details were incorrect. I contacted their customer service asking them to give me further information.

The first time they said that the correspondent bank (HSBC USA) returned the money and ask me contact with my bank to provide alternative correspondent bank. I provided information per their request.

Then I request 2nd withdrawal and it was returned too with the same reason my bank details were incorrect. Again, I called their customer service and this time the reason is that "HSBC USA returned the fund with the reason code "ACCOUNT CLOSED" and ask me to provide documents/ proof whether my bank account is active or not. My bank confirmed that my bank account is active and there is nothing wrong with it.

In addition, everytime my funds were returned, i was charged $20 fees. I wonder is there any fraud from Skrill.

Do you have any ideas how to help me withdrawl my money.
