How does Upwork skill certification help?

I got an invitation for Upwork Skill Certification but unfortunately, my skill. i.e Flutter(Cross-Platform Mobile App Framework) was not listed in the list so I decided to go with front-end javascript although it is not my primary expertise and I would have to learn a few things to pass this certification. What motivates me to go for this certification is to become part of Talent Scout or become an Expert vetted. So I want to know Does Upwork Skill Certification matter in getting into these programs if it does then will it matter too if my expertise is in Mobile App development so I get a certification in related technology rather than something different like a Web Technology.

• An Upwork Skill Certification displayed on your freelancer profile to all clients
• Priority for invitations to submit proposals to jobs assisted by Talent Specialists

Actually what I want to know is if I take Upwork skill certification not in my primary domain .i.e. Mobile App Development will that help me in getting into Talent Scout or Expert Vetted programs.

Hi Ahsan,

For Talent Scout, you will need to apply and you can track the status of your application directly on the Talent Scout dashboard.
For the Expert Vetted program, you will need to be invited in order to be able to receive the badge. For more details please refer to the resources Joanne shared in her post. Thank you.
