How does a client stop the hourly project for a while?

I have been doing two hourly projects for two different clients for a long time but one of the projects is now paused, and another one is still active but I don’t get the following message each week:

“The work week has ended, and your weekly time log is available for review.”

Can you tell me, what was the reason for not having the above message?

No Md.Waled B - the logged time isn't controlled by the client unless manual time is included which isn't protected under Upwork ToS so I recommend not using "manual time" unless you discuss and agree with your client prior to doing so.

Are you using the Upwork Time tracker to track your time? If you are using the time tracker correctly, including accurate memos etc. Upwork does the rest. The information tracked is visible in your contracts work diary and is compiled and processed at the end of each week. Does that make sense?

Hi Md Waled,

Did you receive the notification about the Timelog review last week? Also, could you please confirm if you receives other email notifications from Upwork but bot this week's Timelog review?

Hi,

If the second contract is active but you haven't logged any time for that week, you will not get that message. You only get the message if you have logged time for that week.

Hope that answers your question.

Hi Joëlle O,

Thank you so much for your kind response. So, the logged time is controlled by the client?

Md. Waled,

The client receives your Timelogs if you log hours during the work week. As Joelle pointed out, you also should be notified about Timelogs that are available for a review if you logged time during the work week
