How long does a long term contract refer to?

Hi everyone,

My profile is currently on 'temporary hold' and in an helpdesk article odesk suggested to keep the long term contracts going and ask for account review.Well I currently have only 2 ongoing contract. One started from November 23rd,2014 and the other from December 3rd,2014.

Can these contracts be counted as long term? And usually how long does a contract need to go for it to be counted as long term?

Hi Samiun,

I hope your profile will soon be reviewed and that the outcome is positive. While I have no idea how oDesk is defining "long-term", I personally think it should at least be half a year (if not more!) . Also, not only the time as such is important if you ask me. You may have an active contract for 6 months with only one payment being made. Rather than that, I would say "minimum 6 months and regular payments around the same value each".

But again, that's just my personal opinion.

Best,

André
