How to Change Details of Proposal After Submitting

I have a question about changing the details of a Proposal aside from the rate. For instance, I JUST submitted a proposal, and the client had requested that a voicemail be left at the provided number, but when I dialed the number, it was disconnected. I tried to change my proposal, but there was nowhere to submit this information, and I didn't want to withdraw the proposal. I could have sworn it was possible to edit the cover letter before, but it doesn't seem possible now... Please advise how to handle something like this in the future.

Proposals can't be altered once submitted. You can withdraw the proposal and re-submit, but the client can still see the reason you withdrew the proposal, and you will need to use more connects to resubmit (you won't get any back for withdrawing).
