I do not understand why Upwork makes it so difficult to close an account.

 

If a freelancer is not interested in using their Upwork account, then it only helps make the entire platform better by letting them close their account easily. That way their account can immediately stop appearing as a potential freelancer when client's search for people to help them with their projects. This can only improve the client experience. This would also be better for the freelancers who are here and want to work.

I am trying to close my account, but every time try and click "Contact Info" it automatically redirects to "Password & security." How do I delete my account? This is very stressful.
