I searched through spam and trash and found one email stating my account was on hold because I didn't verify my profile which makes no sense, as I had already been active. In any case, that's not a reason to not allow closure of an account. If I no longer want an upwork account, why would I want to go through further steps?
I am unable to close my account. I registered as a freelancer and didn't finish the creation of my profile. I wan't to delete my account permanently but I cannot access the settings.

I just started to sign up, have not completed the process, as in, I realized I made a mistake with the sign-up, I do not want to be a part of this. I want to delete my account, there seems to be no way to do this. I have never taken on a project, so there is no outstanding project. Can someone help? The "help" articles are worthless.
