Hi E, 

In order to close your account, you will have to withdraw some of the proposals you sent out. Please go to your Proposals page > click on the Archived tab, and withdraw the proposals you have on that page. Once you've withdrawn the proposals, please go to your Settings page > Contact Info, and click on the "Close My Account" button so that your account can be closed.

I am unable to withdraw an archived proposal. The job has been closed now and I don't see an option to withdraw. Please let me know how to close my account.

Can you confirm if you would like us to close both your client and freelancer profiles or you would like to keep one of them? Thank you.

I'm trying to close my account and it says 

 

"Please be advised that you have 3 open tickets with Upwork customer support.
Once you close your account you will not be able to receive updates on these tickets."

 

All these tickets are solved, there are no open jobs, did everything I have to, but the button is still grey.

Hi Josephine, 

Please try the following steps in order to close your account: 

Go to your Proposals page > click on the Active proposals tab,  and withdraw the active proposals you have on the page. On the Archived tab, please also withdraw the proposals on the page. Once you've withdrawn the proposals, please go to your Settings page > Contact Info, and click on the "Close My Account" button so that your account can be closed.
