How to Get My First Client on Upwork?

Hello guys,

I am an SEO professional. I do Search Engine Optimization for Local clients. 

I have experience in the local market, but I am new to Upwork. How can I get my first client here? In my Upwork account, there's no review or rating. What can I do to start my journey here?

Create a good profile, use good grammar, I've seen some profiles, that have almost made my eyes bleed. 😆

Add a portfolio of previous jobs in the outside market, this is important since you're new, you have no history. So adding a portfolio may help customers see that you know your stuff. 

Also, be concious with your rates, do not go too low, but don't go too high either.
