How to charge Upwork clients for legal filing fees

I am a lawyer doing legal work for clients on Upwork. From time to time, as part of my work for clients, I need to file documents with various state and/or federal agencies on behalf of clients. There is always a filing fee that must be paid to file such documents. The filing fees can range from $30 to $800. What is the recommended way to charge clients for such filings fees incurred while working on projects?

It works out better for the client to pay any filing fee themselves (directly), because otherwise you would have to add the Upwork fee to the cost of the filing- If you're happy to absorb that cost, the client can pay you as an expense reimbursement, but you still pay the Upwork fee on that.
