How to find a client history if there is no job description?

I was offered a job directly from a client and there is no job posting I have no access to the clients history. Can that be changed? One a client has been in communication the a freelancer it should be possible just by selecting the clients name. Feedback given by other freelances is often the only way to evaluate a client.

All information I have besides the name is the "About the client" table but I have no access to the feedback by other freelancers.

This has been discussed before. It is a reasonable request.

The problem is that when we search for jobs, we can see certain information about a client, including a job history showing previous completed jobs and the feedback that clients received from freelancers.

But when freelancers receive a direct invite or direct job offer, we can't see that same information.

Nobody is asking for anything new or special. Just want to see the same information when we get invites that we can see when we browse through publicly posted jobs.

Thanks for this. I had also a hard time looking for a client's name. It is really important, because how can I address him/her properly if I don't know his/her name.

Hi Josh, 

If the name of the client is available in any of the client's history/feedback, you may use that to start off your proposal. A lot of freelancers in the Community recommends that freelancers focus their proposals on what you can offer the client, and how your skills, and experience in the specific industry will help resolve the client's issue. Starting off with a salutation, or a simple "Hi there!" should be fine, and should not cause any problems.
