Looking at the relevant job and submitting proper proposal would let you for sure to a job.

DO

- Make sure your profile is 100% set up

- Inslude at least 4 items in you portfolio 

- Write as much personalised and proffesional cover letter as you can for the job you are applying 

- Read and apply for really long job posts (lasy people mind the reading and just skip them)

- bid reasonable amounts 

- Stay more online

 

DON'T

- Don't apply for ridiculously low budget projects, badly written ones, thinking that those people would hire you. Now, all you have to offer is you well set up profile, those people won't even look at it. Professionals will. 

- Don't bid on jobs over 10-15 proposals

- Don't bid ridiculously low amounts 

- Even after 60 not answered proposals, keep going, don't quit!
