How to get jobs?

Hello,
I have two questions.
1. I'm working on Upwork since last year but now for the past few weeks, I'm not getting contracts here. I'm sending proposals on daily basis but unfortunately haven't got any job even tho my profile earning is $1k+. what should I do now? I'm a bit confuse and worried.
2. How many proposals should I send in a day?
