Hi, very good morning. I just agreed with my client to raise the hourly rate of the work we have been doing for months and he agreed.
My question was the following; How can I do that, if I do that, will I have to pay 20% commission again?
Thank you all very much for your quick response.

By the way, I tried to change it from "terms" but it didn't let me

You can't change the rate in a current contract, so you or your client need to end this one and create a new one. But your fee counter does not start at 20% zero with a new contract, it will add them together per client.

Sorry, I didn't understand the last part.
Does it mean that I will pay only 10% commission as I am paying now?
Thanks Martina 😄

Yes you will only pay 10% as the fee is per client, not per contract.
Also, your client can easily raise the rate of your existing contract. What will happen then is that a new contract is creted, but as soon as you start billing at the new rate, the two (old and new) contracts will merge at the new rate.
(Freelancers can only lower the hourly rate in a contract, clients can only raise it)

You can't change the rate yourself. Ask your client to change it on the contract page.
If you're already at the 10% commission level with this client, you'll stay there.
