How to report a client

Hello. I am new to upwork and have 2 clients already. But I am having trouble with my second client.

Firstly, he is asking me to do tasks outside of what we have agreed.

Secondly, he offered me option of offline payment.

Now he keeps bugging me to finish the job even if I have already submitted my output. He is insisting that I finish the whole file when in fact what we have agreed is to just do specific slides.

What do I do?

Hi Aurora,

Could you please send me a PM with more information by clicking on my name so I can check this for you? Thank you!

Upwork

Hello. This is to give a detailed explanation regarding my query.

The project I have applied is to convert an old template into a new
template using keynote. The rate I have inputted was 7USD/hour.

The project was closed. I wasn't hired.

Then few weeks later, client messaged me asking if I have done the trial
output. I said yes, submitted the file. Then he asked me if I could add him
to skype for instructions then he'll make a contract in upwork.

I thought it was a video call, I didn't know it was thru messages.
Instructions were sent via attachments. The file contained instructions to
fix titles of specific slides and also animations of specific slides using
magic move. But he again sent instructions to check the video at 6:04 for
the animation part.

I told him to make a contract before I do the task. He asked me if I prefer
offline payment or in upwork. I chose upwork. Then he made the contract.

I thought it was just a trial test as it was indicated that the task would
only last for 1-1.5hours. So I agreed at 6USD fixed price.

I did as instructed, submitted the file. Asked him if I needed to revise
it. He specified specific slides I haven't fixed so I revised it again.
Then I noticed he kept adding tasks which are not included in the contract
and even blaming me that I added animations even if I haven't really
touched those slides.

Then I said, I already consumed the 1-1.5hours and have asked what was
instructed. I said it's ok not to get paid if he is not satisfied. But
still, he keeps insisting for me to do the WHOLE keynote when what we have
agreed is to fix specific slides only.

Now, he again is asking me to do another task different from the original
project.

Hi Aurora,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience working with this client. I checked and it seems that you already submitted your work for payment. By doing so, your client has 14-days to review the work that you have submitted. If they don't come back within 14-days, the money in escrow will automatically be paid to your account. Please note that you can always dispute the non-release of a milestone and you can check out this help article for more information on that.

Thank you.

Hi Govind,

I'm sorry for the delay as I had to look into this further. Please know that actions have been taken on the job post and the client's account for violating the Upwork Terms of Service. In the future, please don't hesitate to flag suspicious activity by following the steps here.
