How to show on vacation

If I am going on vaction for a week or so, is the best thing to do is to mark me as Unavailable? It would be nice if I could say when I will be available.

You can just set your profile as Unavailable and enter a date.

I just used the hours clickable part on the search page. It doesn't have the same options.

What does it tell the client? Does it tell them I will be back on the date I specifiy or just I am unavalible? That would make a difference to me.

I let my clients know well in advance the dates that I will be unavailable.  I also mark myself as unavailable between certain dates.  Belt and suspenders...
