How to tell the difference between fixed price and hourly jobs in time tracker if they have the same

I did a sample job for a client for a fixed price. He then hired me at an hourly rate for additional work, but the job description is exactly the same. I want to use the time tracker to track his hours, but there are two identical jobs listed. How do I know which one is the fixed price job and which is the hourly job? I don't want to accidently track time on the fixed price job since it won't appear in my hours.

You need to ask the client to close the earlier fixed-price contract, as you no longer plan to do any work on it.

Once closed, it will no longer show up in the time-tracking software's list of contracts.
