How to use text formatting in messages

I know there's a way to make text bold or use bullets because saw it happen in one of my messages somewhere along the line. But I can't remember how to do it. Anybody?

Hi Pat,

Yes, you're right -- and they surely add a bit more flexibility in how you communicate and give Upwork thread updates to clients.

In addition to the shortcuts and such that Jody linked to, bullet points can be done by pressing Alt+7 (on the numpad) in Windows, or Option+8 on MacOS.
