How upwork hourly system works?

I started a job with a client on Upwork at an hourly rate. But my timer is not started yet. I work on it for almost 8 hours. But it showing me nothing. What I have to do?

When you're hired on an hourly contract, you will need to track your hours with our Desktop app. To learn more about how to log in time with our Desktop app, check out this Help Article.
