How we can get high ticket clients?

Hi, Upwork community,
I am looking for your suggestions as per your experience. How we can get high ticket clients from Upwork platform. I have completed almost 25+ jobs with more than 20 clients and they all are paying a little amount to me for work. But I am looking for someone who can pay a high amount. I have years of experience in my niche but I think there are some conversations issues due to which I am not able to get a high ticket client.
Please share your experience with a complete case study and it will be great.

Consider in your mind flipping roles and taking on the part of the client. The question should be why should I pay freelancer X a certain amount of money. Because they want it? Because they feel they deserve it? The client cares as much about that as the freelancer cares whether the client is overpaying him. You have to demonstrate why you are worth more (whatever "more" means to you). The client has to get a sense that, while they will pay more for your services, they will actually get a higher ROI (return on investment) than if they went with another person at the same or lower rate. That's really it. Your higher cost has to translate into better value for the client AND they must understand that value. This happens through your profile, through interviews, through past client reviews and your overall ability to communicate your value with confidence. If you are unable to demonstrate your value above others or current rates, then don't expect the client to just gift you with higher rates and better work.

I am a Careers Coach and I specialise in this. I write quite a lot of profiles for Upwork freelancers too. It's often about how you sell yourself. If you send me a link to your profile I'd be happy to take a look. What do you charge? My clients tend to be high ticket but I have the experience and reviews to back up my price. Do you have amny reviews? Are you top rated? That has a huge impact.

Slightly off-topic: I have to admit I have a problem with freelancers having someone else write their profiles for them. It is dishonest because clients think they get an eloquent freelancer with great communication skills and impeccable English, just to be in for a rude awakening when they find out they were duped and the freelancer never actually wrote that profile...


While we are on the subject of claims on profiles: On yours you say "*Currently rated in the Top 10 CV writers and LinkedIn writers on Upwork*"

 

Rated based on what and by whom?

When hiring, I have taken to pretty much ignoring what is written in profiles for this very reason. I use other ways to have them demonstrate their English ability instead.

you obviously applied to low paying jobs - WP website development for $30? try and filter out jobs with budget below $100 - and start sending proposals there...

I recommend the old-fashioned route of applying to better paying jobs. And while you're at it, who is your ideal client? What does he value most? Does he want to hire a person bragging about their English skills when he is clearly lacking, therefore making him doubt the other credentials, or not?

How do you know there are high-ticket clients regularly or often hiring Upwork freelancers in your area of expertise?

I don't know how Mubashir knows, but if he has any sense he searched for other freelancers in his category filtering by high rates and high earnings and figuring out that if those freelancers managed to earn hundreds of thousands of Dollars, there clearly must be clients willing and able to pay decent money.
