They aren't your clients. They are prospects who have decided not to interview you. Competition is high. Look at the job to which you applied. Have they hired or interviewed anyone? Look at the prospect's previous hire rate. Have they ever hired anyone? You can also sometimes look at the profiles of the freelancer that a client has hired. How do those profiles compare to your own?
