Hey folks,
Couple of days ago, I earned my first contract on upwork. The client is very good and honest person. We decided the contract as hourly basis.
Yesterday. i submitted the manual hours in work diary, client checked the work, appreciated me and ended the contract with 5 star feedback.
That was 9 hours, i can't see that earning to be paid but when i go to Reports Home page it shows that earning in Work in Progress, whereas the contract has been ended.
Is that a misunderstanding or Upwork's Bug?
Please guide me.. Thanks

It is under work in progress where it should be, as the current work-week is still in progress.
From there it moves to Review on Monday, then into Pending next Friday night and Available the following Wednesday.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I am just concerned with one thing. It has been deducted from Client's end upon ending the contract?
Please let me know,
Thanks,
Best,

No, it has not. The client will be charged on Monday for the hours worked this week. Like every client for every hourly contract.
Read about it here. Also remember that manual time is in no way protected. If anything goes wrong with the client's pament method or the client disputes, you don't get paid.
