I'm trying to get straight with the rules for contact outside Upwork.
I've been managing existing clients and so I haven't paid much attention to rules for approaching new clients. I'm able to share mine, as I have forever, but a recent prospective client is not.
That is -- I've given the client my email address so that she can give me access to her website, so I can see what's what, and so that I can make an informed proposal to close a contract.
Have I made an error, and if so, how can I correct it? If it is an error, how am I supposed to dig through her site's backend? It's not resolvable through Zoom screen sharing.

Hi Andrew Bryan,
We realize that some tools and services require the sharing of an email address to gain access. If you require access to a system before a contract starts, you may share your email address for the sole purpose of gaining access to a system. All communications, however, must still take place on the Upwork platform.
