I can't log in using the new email

Hi there,

Newbie here, I created my account in Upwork last June 2020 using my work email but since this email doesn't belong to me personally, I decided to change it using my personal Gmail. I successfully did that and was able to confirm it through my new email.

Now, when I need to sign to my Upwork account, I still need to use the old email instead of the new one because according to the message I received that they can't access my new email? (attached here is the screenshot of my log-in attempt using the new email I am using).

Anyone who can help me, please? I need to update my email as I am planning to stop working from my company and focus on freelancing and I am afraid after my resignation, the old email will be deleted from their server.
