I cannot log in getting Google error message

I am getting this error message: You have not activated the Google sign in method for this account. Please choose another sign in method for this email address.

I can't get anyone to pick up the phone and the bot is keeping me in circles.

I cannot log in when I am in in different browser setups.

Can I change account to be only email/password and not google sso?
