What does your proposal page look like?
If you go into your proposals and click on "view job listing" you can scroll down and see if they ever hired anyone.
For me, only about 10% of jobs have a hire. It also shows the last time the client interacted with the job listing. After a day, they never seem to come back and view the listing.
I'm curious if other people are having the same experience proposing for jobs that never hire anyone.
Not sure I will continue applying for jobs at this rate. When only 1 out of 10 jobs hire people, it's becoming less worthwhile.

No. You have good statistic. An 99% of my proposals going to black hole.

I should say I'm glad I was not the only one finding out these kind of stats, but I'm obviously not.
My two cents:
Over the past 2, 2,5 weeks I saved all the jobs I could possibly be interested in (10 in total). Legit jobs, no scams. After vetting, I applied to just a couple of them.
Now, here's the outcome:
100% of jobs are still unassigned.
7 jobs show no activity whatsoever.
2 jobs show "last viewed a certain amount of hours ago" (not the ones I applied to).
1 job shows an interview was initiated (it wasn't with me 😂).
After a considerable amount of time, 1 job out of 10 being on the good path to convert into a contract is a really, really low rate.
