I've been using Paypal since then. It is connected to my Upwork. However, now Paypal is asking for some documents and it will take some time before I could get them. Upwork sent my 1 month salary to Paypal and it is not showing in my Paypal. Can someone help me to report and retract the payment back to my Upwork account?

The transaction was successful on our end. However, I have asked the help of the Customer Support Team to reach out to you and escalate this further so that a trace can be issued for this transaction.
Once a ticket is generated, you should be able to access it here or the email address associated with your Upwork account.
