Hi Everyone,

Hope somebody can help me with this question.

I am based in the Netherlands and have provided my Tax number recently and it has been approved.

However, afterwards when I receive an offer from a new client, it still shows in the contract that I need to pay the usual 20% Upwork fee. I'm confused!
Thanks in advance for any help!

The Upwork fee is the fee Upwork charges you for its services, it is not tax.  The VAT number is simply so Upwork does not have to charge you VAT on the service charge.

Hi Chi,

Our fee is a sliding fee, once you have earned more than $500 your fee will be reduced to 10%. To learn more about our fees check out this guide. Thank you.
