I have submitted proposals for 60 positions with no contacts. What am I doing wrong?

I keep submitting proposals to positions I am more than qualified for- but am getting no responses. What could I be doing wrong? Any suggestions to increase my responses?

Your JSS is very low.

Is you legal first name really Bj ?

With a first name of "BJ" I'm kinda surprised you aren't getting flooded with invites.

Wow... not sure if I should laugh or be angry... of course I have heard probably every single joke that could be made about my name. My last name used to be Forehand- and my college email was bj4hand... imagine the jokes there LOL

lol I want to work with you. Anyone who can go around with that name is bff material for me.

I am also facing the same problem with proposals, there is a lot of repeat project on upwork. many SEO people using upwork for SEO to promote their website. A client sending invitation but not responding out of 10 only 1 client reply. we just wasting our valuable time and connect with paid membership. there is a lot of problems on upwork its just disgusting. whenever I work 108 hours work on upwork but still not getting new projects. the client wants low price with high quality.

How do I raise it? No- Bj is what I go by...

You're gonna fail profile verification, friend. Might want to fix that.

Well, that is stupid then, isn't it?

How would you verify that you are Bj during ID verification?

I don't think I would hire a girl going by Bj...
and drop the j and you're BM?

Time to use your big girl's name.

Being "more than qualified" is just a threshhold here--it's not going to land you jobs, since clients typically receive a great many proposals from people who are qualified or more than qualified for their jobs. Focus on the jobs you are PARTICULARLY qualified for, where there's a clear reason the client should hire you over all or most of the other applicants.

ETA: I just looked at your profile, and I think your problem is that it's far too generic. By trying to cover all the bases, you've positioned yourself as a jack of all trades, willing to do a bunch of different stuff for money, but aren't really presenting yourself as an expert at anything. Your title doesn't even include a field or role.

Also we're in a slower season... summer vacations etc. I'm noticing much less proposals, and less quality proposals, and when you respond, they may be on vacation and your response gets stuck.
