Hi Apostolos,

If you`re referring to your refund request once you have approved it the 20% fee that was deducted on your contract will also be returned to your client. You don`t have to load your account with more funds.

Please keep in mind that you also have the option to reject this request, if you reject it a dispute will be opened for you and your client.

 He can ONLY reject a request to return Escrow funds (in which case there would not be an issue with "available" funds because this is about money he does not have yet anyway.)

There is no function to reject a refund request, (which is different to a request to return Escrow funds) only the option to accept it or do nothing.

If you have to refund money that was already paid out to you, you can pay upwork via paypal and then issue the refund.  Contact support and they give you the account information.
