I have worked more than $500 with a single client but upwork still charges me 20% from the earned $

I have worked more than $500 with a single client but upwork still charges me 20% from the earned money. I want to know why? How to solve this? I know that upwork should charge 10% after we earn more than 500$ from a single client.

Thanks

Vahan, if you have an hourly contract with the client, then if you get to $500 in the middle of a work week, Upwork will *blend* the 20% fee with the 10% fee so that the first $500 is charged 20% and the remainining hours after that are changed at 10%.

You don't need to do anything. The fee will automatically shift to 10%.
