Hi Manesh,

It's your profile link that you can easily copy and share with people who would like to access your Upwork profile. You can find out more about the recent profile view update here.

The one I see in my profile is exactly the same as the url in the browser address bar, with a long hexadecimal number at the end. Does anyone see something else? (Perhaps I have to log out, empty cache and delete cookies to see an improved version?)

Yes it is. Unlike Elance, Upwork wanted to keep the URL like that only.

Valeria, will those links actually work for everyone, or will most people's profile links end up redirecting since their profiles aren't publicly visible, as has been reported with widgets?

I must give credit where it's due, nonetheless. It saves a step for iPhone users, if they somehow manage to get to their profile in Safari, because Safari usually hides the url of the page from the address bar. Robot LOL

John,

Safari hides the URL, but if you copy it in its hidden form, it should give you the complete URL. If not, try a long press or a swipedown, or look for a little widget to pop up on the right side of the address bar. One way or the other, it should be accessible.

Of course, Upwork's new feature, as you suggest, should require less fiddling.

Best,
MM
