I landed 2 jobs within 5 days

In the last five days, Upwork has proven to be a game-changer for me. I successfully secured two jobs, even though my Upwork profile lacks reviews. I firmly believe that effective communication is paramount in convincing a client. A well-crafted profile serves as proof, aiding in the establishment of trust based on the words presented.

My experience has equipped me with the ability to convey a positive approach to clients. I am hopeful for continued success on Upwork and I believe you could do the same as me, and I appreciate your good wishes as I pursue my dream achievements. Thank you.

I have been on upwork for years. Have paid connects and everything and still have got minimal work on here. I am doomed!

Hi Toni, keep sending proposals and I hope you will shine one day and the day is so close to you!

What nonsense. Let the man report back after a few months.

But this is actually the best example, better than what I usually use, to inspire downed newbies. I'm bookmarking this thread.

No hard feelings with you, Sascha. But you should know that nearly everyone in this forum is experiencing something different because of the 'rotation' Upwork initiated. For most people, even getting their proposals viewed is a daunting task. Even boosted proposals can be thrown deep into the 'other' pile (the trash folder) when they get outboosted 😊

I really don't know why you react in this way! I know it's very hard to get a job while you don't have any past work on the profile but there is a trick and writing those killing sentences in the first two lines so that the client willing to read your proposal.

I never boosted my proposal by the connects! I submitted a total of 12 job proposals viewed by 5 and got 1 archive and two were hired. Hope those messages are inspired for newbies that's why I shared them.

Samer (someone with 2M+ earnings) here has 10-15 hires out of 1000 proposals.

So, getting 2 hires out of 12 is incredibly great, and I doubt it's because Samer doesn't have an effective communication skills and is not putting enough effort into crafting his proposals, as the mod implies (not you).

You're given an advantage, and that's really great. You need to use it well, and I sincerely hope you can succeed here.

That's not necessarily true.

As I suggested in the first response, since at least a year ago, I often tell newbies who complained, that they should at least complete their profile to 100% and not lose hope. Because there is much evidence of newbies (with no work history) getting an incredibly high view ratio, that by-statistics, turned into some hires. From my observation, at least, they were all serious about building their profile. You're the best example so far.

The experiences of people who have been here longer are different. Their view-to-sent ratio, on average, is 20%, while yours is more than double of that.
