I accepted a contract last week that I am now unable to fullfil due to personal emergency. Will I suffer any kind of negative rating or freeze to my account if I cancel the contract? I have not been paid, or submitted any work for the contract as of yet. I just want the client to have the opportunity to find someone new.

It is always good to communicate and politely explain everything to your client to avoid any misunderstanding. You can discuss contract closing and attempt to resolve the situation amicably.
