I suggest jobs should be automatically closed after a week of inactivity

Instead of waiting till after a month or thereabouts, I feel jobs should be closed and connects refunded if the client doesn't hire anyone after 7 days of job creation.

Hello Jimmy

Why do you consider such terms necessary?

A week is a really small period so that potential performers can pay attention to this project. Each person has some family and life concerns and sometimes 7 days is not enough to figure it out.

  • As an example, I am a good visual designer and I have a good skill in this. My candidacy will be ideal for a specific project. BUT! If my cat got coronavirus and I have to pay attention to it for two weeks I can just skip this project and the client will not get a good result.

The same thing on the part of the employers.

Sometimes circumstances change our plans but more often we can solve them within a month and return to work again. In another way there will be a lot of spam and duplication of projects to find the best artist for the job.

At the start of my freelance career, I asked the same questions

  • Why projects take so long?
  • Why customers can't respond for weeks?
  • Why simple projects drag out for a years?

I just realized that this is a balance taking into account human factors Smiley Happy
