Remember a couple of months ago when contracts that appeared inactive were terminated without notice? Sorry - the clients had fair warning; only contractors didn't.
I saw a contractor complain that there had been unpaid monies on some fixed job and others may have had such other unfinished business with their clients. And our plea was that we get fair warning too when the contract is in danger of being terminated - that period of 90days without activity.
I'm glad to report that it is happening and has been happening for a while now. In fact, it looks like it didn't take long for Upwork to take up our suggestion and implement it. Twice I've had fair warning and both times I was glad even though I had no pending issues.
That level of sensitivity is welcome, Upwork. Keep it up!
