I want to shift my Upwork career from Writing to Web Development

I have been writing for Upwork clients for over two years.  In that time I worked over 30 jobs and got myself a good job history with many five star ratings and testimonials from clients.

I've recently learned web development and want to shift my career from writing to web development. I'm a bit worried about my entire profile history being writing related. Will that come in the way of me trying to get new clients? I'm concerned that the Upwork algorithms will place me in the writer category when people search for even after I've done some 10, 15 jobs as a developer.

Has anyone else out there made a shift like that?

Is there any advice for me regarding this?

Should I close my current account and make a new one, or just work with the one I have and make a specialized profile that's related to development?

Thank you most kindly.

If you are good at Web Development that ´would be a very good idea... The Writing thing clearly isn't working out so well....

And a low JSS and low private feedback. Writing (in English) clearly isn't your thing.

Not really. Just make sure you actually know what you are doing.

You can't close your profile and create another, you'll be permanently banned if you do. The specialized profiles during the transition phase would be a good idea.
