ID Verification

Hi there,

I would like to verify my ID.  I haven't been asked for it yet though. But the problem is I can't find any link to get started.

Where can I find the ID verification link?

The verification status says 1 working business day! it's going to 2 weeks already.

I need to use my account asap! Why is it taking forever to just do simple ID verification ?

my account is hold with notification like this 'Your account is on hold. Verify your identity to submit proposals and withdraw earnings. Get started.'



But when I do this process, I received notification 'We are unable to complete ID verification at this time.

This is a simple matter.

Just make sure that your Upwork profile name is your legal name.

And be sure to use that same name as your payment withdrawal account name.

And make sure that is the name that appears on your government-issued identity documents.

Verifying means that you are able to confirm your upwork profile name by official documents. If that is not possible, you can't be verified.

You can update your name by going to Settings and using the edit button. If your name variation is not acceptable, our agent will advise you directly and will suggest editing your Upwork profile name to match your bank or payment account name.

I got verified through visual verification on 24 Sep, 21. however, facing problems in ID card verification. I am uploading the same document that I used every time for Upwork verification, but this time not getting verified. please, someone, help me in resolving the problem

I have two following questions:
1. My Government-issued ID card includes address but in URDU language. But the Account statement includes residence address in English language. Will it be acceptable? 
2. Can I provide the downloaded bank account statement in PDF format?

Hi everyone!

 

I'm getting difficult when I want to verify my identity. I've received the request that I need to verify my identity within 7 days. But the thing is when I hit the "get started" button, it notifies me that "We are unable to complete ID verification at this time."

 

Someone has experience with this, please give me advice. I am really thankful for this.

If you can send proposals, it means you are approved. Simple Solution is that.

Hey, I really need some help.

I just got an offer for a job listing I applied for on Upwork. It's now asking for identity verification.

I renewed my ID 5 months ago but still don't have it. I emailed SOS multiple times and eventually ordered a replacement, but I still don't have it another month later. All I have is my expired ID from before I turned 18 in May. I thought if I took a picture of the ID with the renewal slip in frame it would work, but the app denies me as soon as it registers the ID as expired.

I'm panicking a little, I don't want to lose my new job. What can I do? I have my birth certificate, old ID, temporary permit paper for renewal that goes with the ID, I have proof of address with my mail, I have school IDs, I can video chat, whatever is needed. Please help!

Can someone work with me so I can confirm my identity? Let me know what I can do.
