IDEA: title job Keyword based notifications for freelancer!

Hello everyone,

I am new here, but I got an idea, hoping there is already something similar or maybe will impelement soon...

To have a tool to customize notifications if there are particular keywords in the job titles, so the freelancers can receive a notification when a new job is published containing some keyword that match with the interest and skill and expertise of the freelancers...
In this way, the clients receive fast and more pertinent proposals, and the frelancers have not to check and refresh the job feed like monkeys :-DDDD

What do you think?
Does anyone know some tool to obtain the same result?

Hello,

I have to apologize you all because - reading some answers - I think there is a big misunderstanding, here, then I suppose is due to my lack in English, so please forgive me if I wasn't clear enough when I started this thread:

**** I am NOT talking at all about building some Upwork competitor's platform! ****

I am just wondering if there is a tool provided IN Upwork (or a legit external service approved by Upwork) to receive notifications when in Upwork will appear new jobs with some specific keywords in the title.

I have also a client profile and, for client profiles, there is already just some kind of similar system: in fact, when I have an opened position in some of my jobs, my client profile receives suggestions from Upwork about potential freelancer that maybe can help me.

Let me give you an example: I am specialized in a plugin called Crocoblock Jet Plugin the let you build nice booking websites with WordPress Elementor.
Instead to browse the feed of jobs every day, I would like to create an "alarm notification" that automatically notices me when will appear some new jobs in the future, that are using those keywords in their title:

"crocoblock"

"jet plugin"

"+elementor +booking"

Does make it any sense?

...maybe not 😄  ..I am using Upwork in a role of client from a couple of years with satisfaction, but in the role of a freelancer I am an absolute beginner, a newbie wthout any work, for now, so maybe my needs are very naive 🙂

oooh, we are topic drifting here so those comments are not aimed at you. 😄  The reddit sub is a whole different planet than this place, so it's basically inside jokes for people who are on reddit too.

For what you are looking for, from my understanding most people use the RSS feed and set alerts.

It's been done like 400 times and posted on reddit.

Do you have any idea, or do you remember where it is that resource?

thank you in advance

There is an Upwork sub and I think someone posted something in the last few weeks. Maybe if you do a search for feed and keywords (something like that) you'll find it. Or just browse the sub. Someone posts this stuff like once a month along with the surveys to build an Upwork competitor.

And how are those coming along? Don't keep us in suspense!

Well, you're talking to "insert your own expletive here" hater, but so far I'd say we have *at least* 32 different competitors ramping up to destroy Upwork. Platform is free. Totally free. Take THAT Upwork!

Why do you think clients want fast proposals?

Hello Mark,

thank you for reaching me out here!

I think that some clients sometime for some jobs want really fast proposals because, for example, they are in a hurry near to a deadline?

Let's put this in another way: why would be bad for a client if he/she will receive some proposals inmediately after he/she publish a new job?
