If i am to get a business manager into my team, do they need to go through approval?

The person will not be working themselves, just placing bids/writing cover letters for other team members (because we are doing almost only fixed price projects, in particular for myself). I feel it's time for me to do it professionally - i'm not a good salesman - so i invited someone who does it (not on Upwork) for F500 clients as their day job.

If i invite someone into team as non-exclusive, no admin access, and "business manager" role in Upwork team settings, do they need to go through full Upwork account approval? I think it was necessary to get any connects or be findable in search, both of which they don't need, right?

On an agency account, yes.
