Incomplete payment

Hi, I transferred my first payment to my local bank and the amount displayed after being displayed after being processed by upwork does not match the amount that was transferred into my bank account. There´s about 905 ARS missing (Just over $11 USD). I consulted with my bank, and they said the amount displayed in my bank account is the amount they recieved. Is this going to happen with every transfer?

Hi Bruno,

The difference in exchange rates is not something Upwork can control. When a bank converts a transaction, they will mark up the interbank rate to buy or sell a currency. Online calculators will not take into consideration the mark up that is applied. Since rates constantly change throughout any given day, the rate you received is the rate offered by our bank at the time your specific transaction was processed.

I doubt it´s an exchange rate issue. If it was the amount in ARS would be higher than the one Upwork calculated, Given the official exchage rate displayed by my bank.
