This is Just a warning, especially to those new to Upwork. I've noticed twice in the past two weeks, I get a random contract offer from someone who then wants me to download important documents to get the job done. I don't know if they think I'll fall for this as. But anyway, I download, upload it to virustotal and see it's a backdoor trojan. I go to report them to Upwork as well.
The scammer that just tried this with me now did it so badly, his copy & paste script still had (insert name here) in it, had Vietnamese and English in it as well as timezone totally wrong.
Don't fall for this people.
Oh and Upwork, can you remove the fake client I reported 2 weeks ago?
