I just started using Upwork and I am trying to set it up properly I have added most of the important information needed. I want to ask if I do not create a catalogue does that affect my chances of getting a contract.

2. I was wondering how can I locate a team to join so I can generate enough traffic before I decide to branch out.

Project Catalog adds another way for you to use Upwork but you’re not required to do so. You can just use Upwork marketplace to connect with clients by accepting invites and bidding on jobs.
